Australia won the toss and decided to bat against India
Mitchell Starc will play his first T20I in more than two years – and his first at home in more than four – as Australia hunt the victory that would give them a series win over India.
They clung on for the win in Brisbane then rain denied India the chance of a chase they would have been favourites to achieve in Melbourne.
Starc is the one change in either side, replacing fellow left-arm Jason Behrendorff, with India again sticking with their XI meaning no place for Yuzvendra Chahal.
Starc’s main role will wait a little while after Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first. The recent T20Is have all been hit by rain, so it was a pleasing sight to see a warm, sunny Sydney evening for the series decider.
