New York Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich will miss four to six weeks with a broken thumb.
The 23-year-old was injured during Saturday’s 5-4 shootout win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Buchnevich has nine points in 14 games after posting 43 last season.
The Rangers host the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night.
