The transfer window for all of Europe’s big five leagues is closed, but that doesn’t stop Transfer Talk from rummaging around about who will be moving where come January.
TOP STORY: Will De Gea stay or will he go?
Jose Mourinho has admitted to Sky Sports that he is unsure whether David De Gea will sign a new contract with the underachieving Old Trafford club.
The Spain international, who is widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world, has a contract which runs out at the end of this season. The club has the option to extend it for another year, but he is still interesting the likes of Juventus who are eyeing another high-profile free transfer.
Mourinho said, “I am not confident. I cannot find the word in English, but let’s see what happens.”
It would be a further blow for the club to lose a player whose heroics as the last line of defence have kept them in the running in recent seasons.
PSG looking to Hammer out deal for Diop
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are ready to make a £50 million offer for West Ham United centre-back Issa Diop, according to the Daily Mail.
The defender joined the London club from Toulouse last summer for £22m, but PSG could be looking to more than double that fee to bring him back to Ligue 1.
The 21-year-old Diop has looked promising since arriving on English shores just four months ago, and has started all but the first two games of the season for new Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini.
PSG are renowned for splashing the cash, but have tended to focus on attacking areas of their squad in recent windows. This could be a move to shore up their defence with a homegrown talent who has recently committed to France, having also been eligible to represent Morocco and Senegal.
