Indiana Pacers guard Tyreke Evans has been ruled out for Saturday night’s game at Cleveland for an infraction of team rules after he was late for practice.

“This is the most professional and team-oriented organization I have been with in my career,” Evans said in a statement Friday. “They deserve my best every day and I am disappointed in myself for causing a distraction that prevents me from being able to help my team tomorrow. I will do better.”

Evans is averaging 12.0 points, 3.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in his first season with the Pacers.

The 10-year veteran has also played for the Kings, Pelicans and Grizzlies.
