LOS ANGELES — There were no shortage of events for sports fans in Los Angeles to be excited about on Saturday. From the Dodgers’ Game 7 to USC and UCLA football to the Kings’ day game at Staples Center, there was something for everybody in the city.
Los Angeles, however, is a Lakers town. From Hollywood to Santa Monica to downtown and all points in between on Saturday, the talk around the city was about the Lakers’ home opener against the Houston Rockets and LeBron James‘ first regular-season home game.
ESPN talked to fans around L.A. on Saturday about the Lakers’ home opener and the arrival of James, who is now arguably the biggest star in a city littered with celebrities.
