Toss Bangladesh chose to bat v Zimbabwe
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza decided to bat against Zimbabwe in the first of a three-match ODI series in Mirpur. The visitors have Sikandar Raza back in their line-up after mending contractual differences with Zimbabwe Cricket.
Raza replaced Elton Chigumbura, while Cephas Zhuwao was picked ahead of Solomon Mire and will open the batting.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh brought back Imrul Kayes to partner Liton Das at the top of the order. Soumya Sarkar, who was dropped from the ODI squad, and Rubel Hossain, who hasn’t recovered from a fever in the lead-up to the game, have been replaced by the 30-year old debutant Fazle Mahmud and fast bowler Mohammad Saifuddin.
