Panama bounce back to seal draw in South Korea

South Korea gave up a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw against Panama in a friendly on Tuesday evening.

Park Joo-ho and Hwang In-beom put South Korea two goals up inside 33 minutes, only for Abdiel Arroyo to halve the deficit just before the break and Rolando Blackburn to pull Panama level four minutes after the restart.

The draw means Paulo Bento remains unbeaten since replacing Shin Tae-yong, who took South Korea to the World Cup, at the helm of the team in mid-August.

Park put South Korea in front with less than four minutes on the clock with a deflected effort, and Hwang doubled the advantage 29 minutes later with a strike from outside the area.

But Arroyo’s header on the stroke of halftime gave Panama a lifeline, and Blackburn capitalised on a defensive lapse in the 49th minute as Panama bounced back from their 3-0 loss to Japan on Friday.
