Watford forward Isaac Success is one of 24 players named in the latest Nigeria squad ahead of this month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya.
Success’ recent good form, which has seen him feature in all seven of the Hornets’ league games so far, as well as scoring two goals in the Carabao Cup, has seen him rewarded with a first international call-up since March 2017.
Also making a return to the squad is Moses Simon, who missed out of the World Cup squad due to injury, but has made remarkable progress at Levante in La Liga.
Enyimba goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is the only player invited from the domestic league, a major setback for clubmate Ikouwem Udoh, who has been overlooked for the left-back position in favour of Bryan Idowu and Jamilu Collins.
The players are expected to report in Uyo on 8 October for the qualifiers.
Nigeria hosts Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on 13 October, with the reverse fixture scheduled for Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax, Tunisia three days later.
