The Banker
It should be a cracking game at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan when Sevilla and Real Madrid lock horns on Wednesday. Los Blancos have not done much wrong so far this season but face a real test of their credentials against a Sevilla side who have scored 11 goals in their last two matches. Marco Asensio proved the difference as Real Madrid edged past Espanyol at the weekend to claim another workmanlike victory. It’s the dawning of a new era at the Bernabeu following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure but the early signs are good as they head to Andalusia. If the Sevilla side who beat Levante 6-2 away show up then clearly Julen Lopetegui’s men are going to have their hands full. However, they have enough firepower themselves to claim another three points so the bet to be on could be Real Madrid to win and both teams scoring.
Selection: £4 on Real Madrid to win and both teams to score at 7/4 with bet365
The Tasty Treble
Liverpool have made a perfect start to the season and are even money shots to see off Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Blues boss Mauricio Sarri feels Chelsea may need a year to reach the same level as Liverpool and it will be interesting to see how he plays this given the two sides are set to meet in the Premier League just a few days later. With home advantage, preference is for Liverpool to come out on top here, with the Reds having the necessary squad depth now in defence, midfield and attack to compete for trophies on multiple fronts. Elsewhere, West Brom (19/10) look a big price to beat Crystal Palace. The Carabao Cup won’t be top of Roy Hodgson’s list of priorities this season while Darren Moore’s side are unbeaten in their last five matches (winning four) and clearly have the momentum. Finally, add in Wolves to beat Leicester at 6/5 for a treble paying in excess of 11/1. Nuno Espírito Santo’s men cruised past Sheffield Wednesday in the last round and can showcase their quality here.
Selection: £2 on the treble at 11.76/1 with bet365

The Euro wager
Barcelona head to Leganes on Wednesday looking to rebound after that shock 2-2 draw with Girona at the Camp Nou. Leganes are currently bottom of the pile in La Liga after a poor start and may not be able to handle Barcelona in full flight. bet365 go even money that the first half at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque produces more than one goal and that looks a solid shout with Lionel Messi on fire so far this season.
Selection: £4 on ‘Over 1.5 first half goals’ at evens with bet365
The Wildcard Tip
Burnley’s main priority this season will surely be staying in the Premier League and with this in mind they look pretty precarious odds on favourites to win at Burton in the Carabao Cup. Sean Dyche is sure to ring the changes given the Clarets face a crucial battle with Cardiff City on Sunday, so a speculative punt on Burton to win to nil at 6/1 might be the way to go at the Pirelli Stadium.
Selection: £1 on Burton Albion to win 1-0 at 6/1 with bet365
