Jansen sent back to L.A. with irregular heartbeat

MLB

Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen suffered an irregular heartbeat Thursday and was taken to a local hospital, manager Dave Roberts told reporters in Denver.

Jansen is returning to Los Angeles and will miss the remainder of the team’s series against the Colorado Rockies. He did not pitch in the Dodgers’ 8-5 win Thursday night.

Roberts said Jansen’s condition is stable.
