Basketball Without Borders Africa 2018, staged ahead of the third NBA Africa Game to honour the centenary of Nelson Mandela’s birthday, tipped off on Wednesday in Johannesburg, with a number of the NBA and WNBA’s shining lights taking part.

We take you behind the scenes on the week of activities designed to embody Madiba’s legacy and his belief that sport has the power to inspire and change the world.

The camp brings together 78 of the leading boys and girls from 29 countries in Africa to learn how to be better basketball players and — more importantly — people who can inspire their peers after attending a series of events designed to leave a lasting legacy in the community.
