“Suga” Sean O’Malley is on the comeback trail.

The popular UFC bantamweight is eyeing a return to action at UFC 229 on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas, his manager Daniel Rubinstein told ESPN.

According to Rubinstein, Team O’Malley wants to fight Alejandro Pérez on the card. Perez is coming off a unanimous decision win over Eddie Wineland last weekend at UFC Fight Night Boise.

O’Malley (10-0) most recently defeated Andre Soukhamthath via unanimous decision at UFC 222 in March. Following the fight, “Suga” had surgery on his injured foot, which has been healing according to plan, his team said.

Considered one of the most colorful and flashy young fighters in the UFC, O’Malley is 2-0 inside the Octagon. Pérez is unbeaten in his last seven fights.

UFC 229 is scheduled to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
