Bagley suffers hip, groin injury in Vegas debut

NBA

LAS VEGAS — Sacramento Kings rookie Marvin Bagley III will miss time due to a tweak in his right hip flexor and groin area, according to the team.

Bagley, a forward/center who was the No. 2 overall pick out of Duke, experienced the tweak during Saturday’s 71-61 loss to the Phoenix Suns in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Bagley will undergo an MRI on Monday. He will not play Sunday against the LA Clippers and is considered doubtful for Tuesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bagley scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in 32 minutes against the Suns. Phoenix center DeAndre Ayton, the No. 1 overall pick, had 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting and 12 rebounds.
