ESPN’s Charlie Gibson queries fans about England’s World Cup chances while colleague Chris Mendes takes in all the action at Flat Iron Square in London.

As you might have heard, England sent Colombia tumbling out at the round of 16 stage on Tuesday night by emerging victorious from a World Cup penalty shootout for the very first time.

As the Three Lions players celebrated in unison, Jesse Lingard shared a photo on social media of himself making an important phone call to relay the good news to his nearest and dearest, that football is indeed coming home.

Careful Jesse, you’ve already come this far — you don’t want to jinx it now!

Lingard and his England cohorts are now set to come up against Sweden in the quarterfinals in Samara on Saturday evening.
